South Church
Life at South Church is full and rich. There is something for everyone and things are always changing.
We offer life long faith formation through study, experiential learning and deep conversation with others. As you explore these opportunities please contact us if you would like to learn more or set a time to meet in person.

Youth Faith Formation
Our Christian Education program is a multi-aged, one room classroom.
Designed to provide an opportunity for our children to further their knowledge in our Christian tradition and work together as a community. These programs are open to all children
Chancel Choir
Did you know that the desire to sing is a universal human desire? Indulge yourself, with time to sing while worshipping every week! The South Church Chancel Choir warmly invites you to join us for Thursday evening rehearsals from 7:00-8:30 and singing on Sunday mornings at the 10:00 a.m. Service. Prior singing/choral experience or being able to read music is NOT required. Come one, come all! Join us for fellowship, singing and praise. We hope to see you there.
Memorial Bell Choir
The Memorial Bell Choir has been a part of worship at South Church since 1989. Under the direction of Carlene Ruesenberg, they play during the 10:00 service on the third Sunday of every month. They also provide special music during the Christmas Eve services, and during Holy Week and Easter. They rehearse in classroom 7 on Wednesday nights from 7:15-8:30.
Youth Groups
Our Youth Ministries includes three Youth Groups. We gather in the Youth Space for a time of connecting, fellowship and faith discovery.
Tweens (grades 4&5) meetings are the third Thursday of each month at 6pm
Junior High (grades 6-8) meetings are the second Thursday of each month at 7pm
Senior High (grades 9-12) . meetings are each Sunday evening at 7pm
Spiritual Practices
This group meets on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30pm, to explore various practices and to support one another in the development of our personal practice life.
Do you sit quietly in meditation? Does running quiet your mind? Is the laundry a sacred act? Do you hear God speaking to you in the garden? These are but a variety of Spiritual Practices some members have expressed.
Retreats
We have a variety of retreats throughout the year. Women's Weekend Retreat, Men's Weekend Retreat, Fall Weekend Retreat. A Women's Day Retreat. Additionally other retreats may happen as needed.

Confirmation
It's conversation. It's bonding. It's learning what you believe and learning that it's OK to have doubts. It's laughter, questioning, and pondering the questions of our time through the lens of the Christian Faith. The year begins with a pilgrimage to New York City, and ends with a grand celebration on Pentecost with the traditional laying-on-of-hands.
Genesis Circle
The Genesis Circle is a fellowship group open to all women - young and old. This group generally meets once a month with special guests presenting short programs. Please check the programs for events that might be of interest to you. All meetings will be held at the church unless otherwise stated. Refreshments are provided.
